Eating meat is not a good way for you to keep yourself healthy. Furthermore, it makes weight loss and maintaining weight difficult.
I must say that this is a myth always gives me a laugh. It goes against everything I’ve learned about successful weight loss and the body’s ability to burn fat.
In a study , led by Alfons Ramel at the University of Iceland , along with his team of scientists, studied group of similar individuals where given protein from different sources. These groups were divided as follows:
Group A – The individual in this group were given lean meat as their primary source of protein.
Group B – The partakers in group B were given a cod (a low fat fish), three days a week as their primary source of protein.
Group C – This group consumed cod fives days a week as their primary source of protein intake.
A common factor for all three of groups was that they were to follow a strict diet during an eight week period. The results were interesting. Group C , lost the most weight overall .

The conclusion we conduct From the study above is that meat is not fattening , instead it can contribute to a healthy weight loss and also help to lower the amount of fat stored in the body.
But there is a specific type of meat I tend to avoid because of its High concentration of saturated fat, and as pointed our earlier, this is known to increase the level of bad LDL cholesterol. The meat I am referring to is red meat ,which is in my opinion not a healthy choice. Perhaps the most common red meat include:
•Beef
•Goat
•Lamb
•Pork
